Great alarm system5
These new alarm systems have so many features, I dont know where to start. I got this for my 2006 Silverado Z71 CCSB LBZ, I have had remote start systems since I worked in a shop part time back in 2003 and cant go without it a week. I bought this system for my newer truck to replace the 2000 Z71 ECSB I just wish the remote were a little smaller, it is nearly the size of a cellphone. Install is straightforward, when the unit is working correctly, the first one I received was shorted across the flex relay, and Amazon sent a replacement with one day shipping quickly, even included a shipping label for return shipping for free. Amazon is great.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING4
I HAD KNEE SURGERY AND ARRANGED EVERYTHING IN MY HOME FOR MY RECOVERY TIME. I KNEW I WOULD BE UNABLE TO SHOP, DRIVE OR LIFT ANYTHING HEAVY. ON THE SECOND DAY HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL MY BEDROOM TV BROKE. I OWNED A SMALLER MODEL MADE BY TOSHIBA IN ANOTHER ROOM AND WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH IT. I WENT TO AMAZON.COM AND ORDERED THE LARGER ONE, AND IN A MATTER OF A FEW DAYS IT WAS DELIVERED AND PLACED IN MY FRONT HALL. A FRIEND CAME AND SET IT UP. IT IS OPERATING WELL. NO SHOPPING, NO DRIVING AND RIGHT WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST. THANK YOU, TOSHIBA AND AMAZON.COM.

Amazon.com Product Description
Attractively designed and offering 720p high-definition viewing, the feature-packed, affordable 32-inch Toshiba 32CV100U LCD HDTV (31.5-inch diagonal screen size) is an all-in-one entertainment package that’s great for any room in your house thanks to its integrated, side-loading standard DVD player.

The Toshiba 32CV100U with slot-loading DVD player on the left side (see larger image).

The CV100U Series features a 720p HD resolution, stylish Horizon bezel design, and invisible bottom-mounted speakers (see larger image).

Perfect for use as your main television, the CV100U Series features Toshiba’s DynaLight dynamic backlight control for deeper black levels, and two HDMI digital inputs for simple high quality connection to cable/satellite boxes, DVD players and more. It’s also a great choice for kids and family rooms with the CV100U’s Gaming Mode, which offers reduced game control delay and improved reaction time. And the Photo Frame capability with Auto Slide Show is especially useful in bedrooms, dens, and kitchens.

Boasting a slimming tapered bezel and attractive front panel gradation, the new Horizon design creates a more modern, elegant appearance that also matches Toshiba’s black glossy Horizon-designed laptops. Other features include MP3 playback via the integrated USB port, a PC input, and a removable stand.

Key Features

  • 720p HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels)
  • 60Hz screen refresh rate
  • CineSpeed LCD panel with a fast response speed necessary for cleaner high-action home theater images. A wide viewing angle ensures that you’ll have the best seat in the house.
  • Integrated slot-loading DVD player on the side (compatible with standard DVD discs as well as content burned onto DVD-R/RW, Audio CD, CD-R/RW, and VCD media–including both MP3 and WMA digital audio files)
  • DVD playback controls include digital picture zoom, fast scan, slow motion, and multi-camera angle selection.
  • DynaLight Backlight Control utilizes advanced image processing to monitor the brightness of each video frame, and adjust the backlight intensity accordingly. This precision creates seamless transitions with deep blacks for increased detail and depth analysis.
  • Photo Frame capability allows this HDTV to act as both a TV and a digital photo frame. You can showcase your favorite memories as a clear, crisp slide show on the high-resolution television screen–all controlled with just the TV remote.
  • Gaming Mode takes the gaming experience to a new level by reducing game control delay, thus giving the player improved reaction time and a more realistic playing experience. This is great when used with popular gaming consoles, or with PC games using the TVs PC Input.
  • Built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital tuning allows for tuning of standard cable channels as well as off-air digital broadcasts, in addition to digital “cable-in-the-clear” broadcasts.
  • Native Mode restores the size of the picture by the 3-5 percent that is generally lost during the normal over-scanning that occurs on traditional sets.
  • Cinema Mode 24 fps (3:2 Pulldown): This HDTV performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too–a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture.
  • Color Temperature Control enables you to adjust white balance to achieve the best television picture possible in any viewing environment, or simply adjust the picture to suit your personal tastes. The “Warm” setting delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room, while “Medium” and “Cool” provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased.
  • Three TheaterWide modes are ideal for displaying HDTV signals as well as enhanced for widescreen television DVDs.
    • TheaterWide 1: Letterboxed image is digitally expanded 33 percent horizontally and vertically. Useful for reproducing Academy Standard (1.85:1) formatted software.
    • TheaterWide 2: Letterboxed image is expanded 33 percent horizontally and 42 percent vertically. Particularly of use when viewing narrow letterboxed images originally filmed in Panavision or CinemaScope.
    • TheaterWide 3: Letterboxed image is expanded 33 percent horizontally and 24 percent vertically. Can be utilized when displaying letterboxed images that incorporate narrow bands at the top and bottom of the picture.

  • MP3 audio and JPEG image playback via USB port on the side.
  • REGZA-LINK (HDMI-CEC) allows peripheral AV devices such as a DVD player to be controlled by the remote control.
  • Bottom-mounted invisible speakers integrated into stylish Horizon bezel design (20 Watts total power; 10W + 10W).
  • Channel Browser allows you to easily scan through the last 32 channels you have viewed, with screen images for the last five channels displayed, by channel, by favorites, and by input, at the touch of a button.
  • Channel Labeling allows you to put station call letters on the screen along with the station numbers, so you always know what channel you’re watching
  • Input labeling enables you to name the individual inputs to denote usage, such as “DVD Player” (instead of having them display as just “HDMI 1″ and “HDMI 2″).
  • Removable stand for wall mounting (100mm x 100mm VESA mounting pattern)
  • Tri-lingual onscreen menu (English, French, Spanish)
  • Energy Star qualified
  • Warranty: 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

HDTV Size chart With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

  • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
  • Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

Fantastic set!5
Just received the TV today! It arrived a day early, which was a pleasant surprise. Once I fired it up, I was ecstatic with this set. The quality is amazing for the price, the picture blows away a top of the line 42″ 1080p LCD display that I’ve seen. Deep rich colors, high contrast, fluid motion…there is nothing not to like! Streamed Spartacus off Netflix, and compared to my old little 22″ LCD it really came to life.(Even if the writing is really bad)

It was able to find some basic cable channels in HD, which is awesome, and Modern Warfare 2 looks simply astounding (again, much better than on aforementioned 42″ and 22″ LCDs.)

The sound is decent, it’s actually better than I was expecting. It’s obviously no Home Theatre, but I was impressed. It’s got a few connections which aren’t listed on Amazon…the 3 HDMI, 1 PC, 1 USB, 1 Component, 1 Dual Component/Composite, Audio In 1/8″, Audio Out 1/8″, Optical out, and cable. The menu is very easy to navigate and adjust, and in it you can turn off it’s startup/shut down sound if you find it irritating. It’s kinda soothing though.

One negative I’ve found is that the audio running out isn’t controlled by the televisions volume, I guess that’s pretty standard, but it means my cheap computer speakers aren’t much good. (No remote) Also when installing the base stand it felt like I was about to destroy the thread on the screws that are used…They aren’t easy to get in there!

It’s very elegant, and looks great in my living room. It’s not super bright, which I love (LCD panels hurt my eyes after a while) All in all, for the money it’s a fantastic TV. I was looking for quality, affordability, and style.

Amazing TV5
I am truly impressed with this TV. I have been researching LCD and Plasmas for a little while and found this to be the best HDTV for the price. I had a chance to check it out at a local retailer beforehand and compared to other TVs in the store this one completely stood out. Picture was MUCH better than the 1080 models which were more than twice the price. The Sony next to it showed people with grey suits while this one had deep black and vibrant color. The specs (2million:1 contrast, 600hz) blow away anything I could find in this range and the picture is simply fantastic. Plus you can’t beat this price!

I ordered this TV on a Tuesday night, received it on Thursday and the guy brought it to my door(4th floor walkup in NYC). I guess Beach Camera should receive the credit there.

Set it up and the TV was able to find a bunch of HD channels and channels I didn’t have before, so that’s a big plus. I have to say, like the other review, installing the stand was a pain in the ass. I don’t think the screw holes were completely drilled out, but I managed.

Sound is great, no buzzing or anything. It is very sleek and stylish and makes my living room look great. Menu is very easy to navigate and viewing pictures with a card reader or USB is a snap. Just plug it in and you have many options for slideshows with music and other options. PC input also very simple to hook up.

You will not be disappointed. Especially with the free shipping, no tax (for me at least) and the great amazon price, this HDTV cannot be beat!

Nice5
This set replaces a 50″ Sony LCD projection HDTV that fell victim to the blue dots of death. It’s hooked up to a Motorola HD DVR set top box through HDMI. It’s been an adjustment going down to 42″ from 50″ but it’s getting easier. The picture on HD channels is excellent and standard def channels look a lot better than they did on the Sony. The set itself is beautiful and looks great in our living room. The sound is good and there’s no buzzing.

The only issues that I have noticed with this TV are the screw holes used for attaching the stand and room brightness. There’s no excuse for the poor job Samsung did with not properly threading the ten holes on the stand. As for the brightness of the room, this TV performs better in darker rooms. We’ve got heavy blinds that block out a lot of light so it’s not that big of a deal for us. If you can’t control the lighting in the room that you plan on using this set in, then you should probably look at another set.

I gave the whole 1080p vs 720p a lot of thought before purchasing this set. I shouldn’t have bothered-it’s just marketing hype, in my opinion. All I can say is that the picture’s better than the one I got on the Sony. And getting it for $539 makes it that much better. Oh, and don’t forget the SquareTrade three year warranty for $47…

Customer Reviews:

1065 & 765 Feedback5
I needed to replace a couple of old receivers so I found a great deal on the RX-V1065 and RX-V765 on Amazon. I ended up getting both of them for aboout what 2 V665’s would have cost me a a Big Box store. I first setup my Main Theate Room with the 1065, I thought it was somewhat difficult to get everything the way I wanted it but the automatic speaker setup was slick and the sound is fantastic compared to my old Sony I had previously. The Menu system takes some getting use to but once you do it’s not bad to navigate. All in all I was pretty darn happy with my purchase, My JBL’s sounded much better then before and although I didn’t really notice any difference in video quality, it was as good as before and now I had everything coming thru the same box. Surround sound was a huge step up from my old receiver also, you are almost looking behind you now because you’d swear someone is behind you, where on my old Sony it was more or less a quieter front speaker.

I then went to hook up my 765 in my cave TV room, first thing that I noticed was that is basically identical to the 1065, sure the menu system is not as polished but as far as the functionality that I need it is the same. I have a few year old Bose surround sound in this room with a JBL center chanel speaker and what a HUGE difference this receiver made over my old Onkyo, the Onkyo was really good for music but surround sound was sub par, but it was 10 years old I guess. Granted I’m only hooking up a Xbox 360, blue ray and TV in this room but watching Vikes beat up the the Packers in surround sound with this receiver was great, I haven’t figured out which sound field I like best but there are a couple perfect for sports.

One of the coolest things was when I grabbed the TV remote from my Samsung LCD by mistake to turn the volume down and it says RX-V765 un the upper corner and starts to tun down the volume of the receiver from the TV, displaying the volume the whole time it’s changing. I guess that Anynet capability on the Samsung TV’s with a HDMI reciever gives you a few more bells and whistles. Also really cool is when I turn on the Xbox or turn off the TV the receiver will come on or off accordingly. I haven’t setup the remote for additionaly devices yet, but it seems to be easy to use and is exactly the same for the 765 and 1065, I actually expected the remote to be better for the 1065 so i was a little disapointed when I saw it, but in using it it seems OK/

One thing I do not like is the Zone 2 ability on the 1065, I almost wish is was more or less a A/B speaker selector, I have a normal 5 speaker surround setup, in addition to that I have 2 speakers in the kitchen, right behind the TV room which are connect to Zone 2 that when I’m listening to music we like to have on so that you have more sound. The problem is that Zone 2 running the same input as the Main Room is off by a few fractions of a second and if you stand right between the 2 rooms, it sounds like the song is a half a second behind in the kitchen, I tried the lipsync thing, which only made it worse, I haven’t given up on it yet, but it’s not obvious how to fix this.

Bottom Line –
Both the 1065 and the 765 have more inputs than I know what to do with.
Neither have HDMI on the front, I didn’t want it anyway, as I think it looks stupid to set all your equipment up and then have a big cable hanging off the front of your system anyway. That’s why the put the jacks on the back, right???
May not have quite as many sound fields as some others out there, but I pick the 2 or 3 I like for movies, sports and music anyway and don’t care about the rest.
The YPAO is cool and works great to setup the speakers.
The onscreen Menu is better on the 1065 but adequate on the 765.
HI-DEF Radio sounds amazing on both.
Don’t think I will ever use the remotes as universal remotes, but they are adequate for running the receivers.
I cannot comment much on the video conversion, as everything I am running is HDMI and looks the same as it die running straight into the TV.
Sound on both of these is fantastic, even at volumes that start to hurt, the sound is clear, the bass is crisp not slow and there is no distortion, my old receivers would make my speakers start to hiss at a much lower volume, and these receivers never do.
Save yourself some money though get the 765, once it’s all setup and you don’t need to go into the menu anymore, you’ll never notice the difference.
I read a lot of reviews and narrowed it down to Onkyo and Yamaha, at last second I pulled the trigger on Yamaha and for what I paid on Amazon for the 2 of them I am thrilled with my purchase

Fine receiver with rca outputs for front, center and rear (and a great tuner for HD and FM)5
I have had this receiver for a few months now. I use it as a preamp with Adcom for the front and Hafler for the rear along with Definitive Tech speakers and an 18″ Velodyne. I tried it as an integrated amp and thought it was fine, but I am fussy and like to use my more powerful amps. I am very pleased with the imaging and detail that is typical of Yamaha. I guess someone got a lemon, because I was impressed with the tuner, especially the HD. The microphone setup of the speaker system is also a plus, allowing for adjustments in room acoustics.

A Receiver That Does Not “Receive”1
This otherwise fine unit has a fatal design flaw with the performance of the FM radio receiver. Even with very strong local FM stations, the receiver can’t hold on to the signal for more than a few seconds. Tune to a station, wait several seconds, signal acquired, then in a few seconds the signal drops, no sound for several seconds, gets it back for a few seconds, cycle repeats. This is with an outdoor antenna with a coax feed and amplified 1:2 splitter (also took splitter out of the coax feed, no change). If the FM station is broadcasting in HD, the receiver stays locked on and performs well. As a comparison, I reconnected my old Yamaha HTR-5250 to the same antenna feed and got more than double the number of FM stations. The local non-HD FM stations that failed on the RX-V1065 were pegging the signal strength meter on the HTR-5250. AM reception on either receiver is terrible.

The FM reception problem occurred on two different units (returned the first unit, got a replacement, same problem, took it back, full refund).

If you are looking for a receiver that can actually receive, the Yamaha RX-V1065 will surely disappoint you.

Customer Reviews:

Sony SNC-RZ50N Review4
The Sony SNC-RZ50N is a very good camera, high quality images, great zoom control, preset viewing positions, powerful zoom. It will send e-mails, FTP file transfers, and take snapshots if it detects motion or if it detects a left object. It also has the ability to play a recording through speakers upon alarm. I love the camera, but I wouldn’t buy another. I’d buy the Sony SNC-RX550 instead. The SNC-RZ50N will not take a port address for automated SMTP (e-mail) file transfers. It only connects to the default port, 25, which very few modern e-mail servers use. The SNC-RX550, with the latest firmware upgrade, can use any port address. I’m using the SNC-RZ50N with the optional SNCA-CFW5 wireless G card in a protective housing at the beach. Works great, but the opaque instructions are not for the meek.

Customer Reviews:

Football games won’t be the same!5
I upgraded my 120hz Vizio to this model for my family room and can’t believe the clearity! The colors are crisp, the picture is 2nd to none. You can actually see the laces on a football while in the air on a spiral. For the difference in price from the 120 to the 240hz spend it! I did and have 0 regrets. The best TV I’ve ever watched mutchless in my own home!

Vizio SV421XVT – Almost perfect.. almost.4

The Vizio SV421XVT, is a very nice 42 inch lcd TV. With 120hz refresh rate, and 240hz scenes per second, this television offers depth perception found only in high end LED TVs. But it is not all gum drops and fairy tales.

This Vizio does NOT offer the bluetooth remote and internet apps. The TruSurround and TruVolumn leave a lot to be desired, and then, you have the Zero Bright Pixel Defect Guarantee, which in reality is not much of a guarantee at all.

I have taken much time compiling the info for this review, and I want to be very clear on one fact, Amazon’s Customer Support is true American loyalty. The staff is top notch!

Vizio is the leading TV seller in the US due to its calibrations with Wal-Mart, Sears, Dell, and Amazon. Our experience with Vizio has been a rocky one.

We are very particular about our lcd TVs and we bought this SV421XVT based solely on the Zero Bright Pixel Guarantee. We called Vizio 3 times before purchase to make sure that this guarantee covers “stuck, bright, and dead” pixels. Their answer, YES!

We could not find this within 100 miles of our home, Vizio wanted $1600 + for it, and Dell has poor customer support in addition to not standing behind Vizio’s Zero Bright Pixel Defect guarantee. So we opted for Amazon, free shipping, A-Z guarantee, and NO SALES TAX!

The first Vizio we received through Amazon came via Pilot. Pilot is a very terrible delivery service, at least in Southern Ohio. No precalls, and our television sat 1hour away for 5 days, before delivery. Then to top that off, we had to press them to deliver it by the latest date of delivery, for they wanted to wait an additional 5 days.

When the Vizio arrived in our home it had a stuck pixel, stuck in the red cycle of red, green, and blue, and it also had a video overlay problem. We called Amazon and they were very helpful, not 5 minutes on the phone, and a new one was shipped that day, for a switch out in our home.

That is when Pilot dropped the ball again. They delivered our replacement but once more failed to precall and had a very lazy attitude towards the delivery. When they arrived, they stated they had no paper work for the pick up of the unit with the stuck pixel and informed us they were required to leave both TVs at our home. So once again a call to Amazon. Amazon was once more VERY VERY helpful and had Pilot back to our home the very next.

Again we had to press pilot for a pick – up time, and when they finally arrived they were an hour late. But alas the TV was returned to Amazon, and we were not charged.

But our experience with this SV421XVT does not end there. The second unit delivered to our home had a red stuck pixel and again a video overlay issue. The video overlay issue is only visible on 720p where is appears as a white vertical line down the right side on the screen, and a black vertical line at 1080p. This issue is noticeable on all HDMI inputs. Since we buy and sale HDMI cables, we were able to cycle through new cables, and verify that is was not interference within the cable. We also hooked it to a PS3 and an Xbox 360, and it was evident on both devices.

This time we decided Amazon was not responsible for Vizio’s poor technology.

It is important for me to once again stress that although the screen had issues, the picture looked beautiful. The depth perception is dazzling with the Smooth Motion Technology and 50,000:1 contrast ratio, your breath will be taken away.

So a call to Vizio led us to a road block. Vizio after stating otherwise three times prior, informed us they do not cover dead/bright pixels, and that this LCD TV does not have the Zero Bright Pixel Guarantee. We had to inform them it does, and that is states it clearly on their website.

They eventually admitted that this SV421XVT does have a Zero Bright Pixel Guarantee, but it does NOT cover dead pixels, contrary to their previous answers. They also informed us that they were aware of the video overlay issue, and that most of their TVs have it, and that they do not service this problem. Mind you this all occurred over 2 days of multiple phone calls to Vizio’s technical support.

We felt as if we were in the circus, for the hoops we had to jump through, just to prove we did in fact own this SV421XVT, and that is was not working properly.

Vizio demanded we take a picture of the single stuck pixel, and that the picture had to have the pixel visible, as well as show the entire front of the 42″ TV. That’s right, they wanted me to stand back, and be able to capture the equivalent to the end of pen, as well as display the entire front of the TV, turned on, and the Vizio logo readable. WOW! That is crazy.

Well I pressed the fact that this was not possible, and demanded they try it themselves. I asked that they send out s service man, and they said we need the pictures. I once again informed them that is was not possible, and I wanted $750 worth of perfect LCD screen, just what I paid for, so the tech. transferred me to a “Level 3″ technician.

The Level 3 technician was a little easier to deal with, and after much convincing that I did in fact own this TV, and sending the best pictures possible, informed me that I would receive a white glove in home switch out.

Well 2 weeks later, a very good freight company arrived with a new TV. They unpacked the LCD and allowed us to cycle through red, green, and blue screens to insure that there were no stuck pixels. There was none. We are now happy.

To sum it up, Amazon is an A+ company. Pilot delivery is worthless. Vizio puts on a good face to sale their product, but does not want to stand behind it. The SV421XVT has a picture quality that truly high definition, but finding a unit without issues is hard.

Vizio SV421XVT – Almost perfect… almost.

UPDATE!!!!!

Please, all readers, attention. We have developed ANOTHER BIRGHT STUCK PIXEL on the right hand middle side of the screen. This time for service, we used a 10 mega pixel camera, and took multiple pictures of the tv. As Vizio requires you must have a picture of the full face plate, the pixel, and the menu. We did everything required to have our current Vizio serviced…. everything and more.

We even went as far as circling the pixel on a few pictures, the response from Vizio, we can’t see it, and corporate offices cannot see it either. Vizio stated that they will not even send out a technician, because the rep. said “We will not service another, this TV without better pictures.” did you read what I heard, he messed up and said “another.” They seen the pixel and they know that all of thier units have them. Nice way to push the responsibility off onto the customer!

This is the third SV421XVT, we have had, it is the third to have a stuck bright pixel, and this one even has a faint over lay issue as well, which we were able to adjust out of the screen. This is the last Vizio product we ever purchase.

Hands down it does offer one of the most stunning pictures on the market, but at nearly $900 on Amazon, and over $1000, at Vizio, a company should stand behind its product and show real support for it’s customer, Vizio just doesn’t do it.

On a side note we own a 1 year old Sony Bravia 40″ LCD, and we have had no issue what so ever from it. It is only 60hz, and has low contrast, but out of the box from Wal-Mart, we have had not a single problem! NOTHING!

My advice to Vizio… you either stand behind your products, or stand down!

I’m no techie – but this is a great TV!4
I did my research and did my research and this is a GREAT TV. Perfect! Easy to set up – simply remove from package and power it on! Remote Control and inputs are clearly marked and easy to use. If you need to look at the user manual, it is NOT technical so you can figure out how to hook up your computer/mp3 player or whatever!

And the delivery – I was a little nervous when I learned it would be a “carrier” and not UPS/FEDEX….but they were AWESOME! I’d buy again just for the AWESOME customer service from the carrier.

Customer Reviews:

Perfect – price, delivery, set-up, performance5
I was a little leery of ordering this new 2010 model that didn’t yet have full specifications or other product information available. If it was any brand other than Toshiba, which I’ve had great experiences with, I would have waited or moved to a different product.

Anyway, I’m glad I did order this model 32E200U TV. Ordered from Amazon for a great price, it arrive in three days, in perfect packaging and brought right to my door by my friendly UPS driver. Unpacking and “assembly” was a snap – there really isn’t much to do other than attach the stand, connect the cables, install the remote batteries, and turn it on. It asked a few simple set-up questions, scanned all my cable channels (finding some I didn’t know I had access to), and was ready to go. The remote is super clear and simple to use, everything works, and the picture is great. Black is truely black, color is well balanaced, the image is bright, people and their clothes are their correct colors, and the sound is really quite good. We have a standard 480i cable connection, a 1080i upconverted DVD, laptop streaming NexFlix, and bluray. All work perfectly and switching between inputs is seemless. It has plenty of HDMI inputs (4) in addition to analog, digital, and cable.

Can’t say much else, other that to strongly recommend this product. Buy it, you’ll like everything about it.

great as a tv and as a computer monitor5
I bought mine from Buydig when they had it for $399.99 with a coupon code and free shipping last month. I am using it as a computer monitor and as a secondary TV at home. Instead of writing in paragraph, I will just enumerate the things I wanted to say…

As a Computer Monitor:

1. It has a native mode, but it will leave about an inch of space/border, from the side and 1/2 inch on the top and bottom. The quality is super crisp! Just like a CRT (with 1080p PC mode on)!
2. Natural mode will stretch it out and leave about a 1/4 inch on each side. and it’s still pretty crisp.
3. There is an option in this tv called 1080p PC mode, which makes the letters very crisp and clear. You will need to enable it to make the letters not look distorted or fuzzy.
4. To get to the 1080p computer mode, go to menu > picture settings > noise reduction > turn on 1080p PC mode.
5. by default, it is extremely bright as a computer monitor, so lessen the back light.
6. NO DEAD PIXELS!!!!!
7. Using the 15-pin computer plug, max resolution possible is 1360x 768, and instead of native mode, it has a dot by dot mode (which is essentially native mode.)dot by dot mode will leave a hefty border on the tv which is about 3 inch on the top and bottom and about 5 inches per side. Although the text is as clear as it any CRTs out there, losing about 40% of your monitor’s real estate isn’t that great. Also in PC ode, you can’t change the picture settings.
8. I have been able to use audio over HDMI using an ATI card (4670)
9. To avoid screen tearing when playing PC games, make sure v-sync is turned on your PC.

As a TV:

1. switching through channels is painless, not like some other brands that I’ve tried, this takes less than a second to load to the other channel. There is a slight delay when switching through HDMI and cable or HDMI to another HDMI which is only about a second.
2. very crisp picture and superb colors. The black levels are one of the best I’ve seen. and this is coming from a former plasma TV user.
3. The sound is pretty decent. Don’t expect heavy bass. no tv has that. that’s what home theatre set ups are for.
4. The remote is solid, not fancy. no problems picking up the signal.
5. has a usb port that can play music and pictures.
6. NO DEAD PIXELS!!!!!!
7. I have my Dynalight function off so I can’t comment on it.

Power consumption (using a P3 Watt meter)
off
>1 W (about .3 W for me)
on Sports mode (torch mode)
~95 W
on Standard
~59 W
on movie mode
~55 W
on PC mode (using the 15 pin VGA)
~54 W
on preference (it seems to be on Sports mode by default)
~95 W

As I’ve said, it is very bright to use as a computer monitor so what I did was I went on movie mode and customized it by putting contrast and brightness @ 50 and put the backlight @ 0 (yes I put it @ ZERO!) if it’s too dark for you put it around backlight 10.
With backlight at zero, the Power Consumption is @ 36 W. Backlight @ 10 is about 43 W.
The unit on standard mode, is a little warm to the touch when you feel the back panel but it doesn’t heat up the room at all.
I haven’t tested it on input lag but from what I can see, it’s pretty good. Game mode helps a lot.

Couldn’t ask for anything more.5
Recently purchased this set because of a great online deal (not from Amazon). I was a bit weary due to the fact that not much had been said about this TV. It arrived with no problems and took just a few minutes to get set up and running. The picture is amazing and rivals those of higher-end TVs. The blacks are some of the best I’ve seen on an hdtv and the picture quality is crisp.
I was a little nervous purchasing a set with only 60Hz refresh rate due to the fact that I play a ton of Xbox 360. However, there was no noticeable slow-down. I then switched it to gaming mode and there was absolutely no slowdown.
The picture viewing angles are perfect and looks crisp from wherever you view the set.
As for audio, it sounds great out-of-the-box without the purchase of any speaker system. I have it at half its volume and that gives a booming loud sound.
I have yet to try out the USB connections, but expect little to no problems with that.
This is a great budget-priced set with many, many high-end features. You won’t be disappointing.

Plus, the HDMI ports feature fast InstaPort switching for quick changes from one source to another.

Toshiba’s E200U Series HDTV with 1080p high-def resolution (see larger image).

The attractive front panel gradation of Toshiba’s Horizon design (see larger image).

DynaLight automatically adjusts the backlight intensity based on the image content.

With the Gaming Mode function, you’ll experience reduced game control delay and improved reaction time–perfect for PC gaming–and the Photo Frame capability with Auto Slide Show enables you to display slideshows of your favorite images when not watching TV programming.

Boasting a slimming tapered bezel and attractive front panel gradation, the new Horizon design creates a more modern, elegant appearance that also adds a subtle luminance to the logo to further its stylish appeal. Other features include MP3 playback via the integrated USB port, a PC input, and a removable stand.

Key Features

  • 1080p HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels)
  • 60Hz screen refresh rate
  • CineSpeed LCD panel with a fast response speed necessary for cleaner high-action home theater images. A wide viewing angle ensures that you’ll have the best seat in the house.

  • InstaPort fast HDMI switching between A/V components: Typically, when you switch HDMI inputs, there can be a five or six second delay. With InstaPort, as soon as you select an HDMI source, it will connect in a fraction of the time.
  • Removable stand for wall mounting (200mm x 200mm VESA mounting pattern)
  • Tri-lingual onscreen menu (English, French, Spanish)

Customer Reviews:

Garmin 546S Marine GPS5
I have found this to be just what I need to both use as a navigation tool and to catch fish with here in South East Alaska. The addition of the Juneau to Wrangell card was also a great help. I highly recommend the 546s.
