Customer Reviews:
Very Unique TV This tv is really unique! It looks like a score board & even has a digital clock in the lower corner to make it look like a score. It would be great for a basketball fan, or even just someone who wants a contemporary looking tv. I am not a huge sports fan & I simply bought it because of the contemporary look. My fiance on the other hand loves it for the basketball look. The tv is a 23 in & is framed in glass. It is a perfect size for a small room or bedroom. The digital clock can be turned on & off, and when turned off you can barely even tell that it is a basketball tv. The NBA logo is also very small. The speakers are awesome & the sound is great! The picture is okay, not great, but not bad. You might get a little better picture in HD. We havnt watched anything in HD on it so Im not sure. Overall, I think this tv would be great for a sports fan, or just for a small room tv with a contemporary look. I love it because you get the best of both worlds from it & it works perfect for me & my fiance for different reasons

Customer Reviews:
A good product ! I waited a few months after purchasing this tv, before attempting a review.
MY experiences/opinions are (scale of 1-10, 10 being the best):
Handling, ability to move to desired location: 10 … light, easy for 1 person to move, maneuver, install on stand
Easiness to initially setup/get useful asap: 10 … You really do NOT need the directions, but they are excellent
Connections amount,availability, setup: 10 … I have cable, a PS3, and Xbox360, dvd … too easy if you ask me !
Viewing: 9 … great from even extreme angles. Adjustments in the menu DO fine tune your individual needs. : the 1080P shines in action movies, sports, and especially video games … resolution is phenomenal ! : I’ve experienced NO bleeding of colors or blurriness in high speed transitions
Audio: 7 … OK at best, but I bought it for its viewing capabilities, NOT expecting a ‘Bose’ audio capacity. One of its menu items allows you to keep advertising volumes the same as network broadcast volumes… Mine does NOT function that way… commercials still too loud
I have it (easily connected to) enhanced by my stereo system, so this is a wash as far as I am concerned when wanting to listen to a Nascar race, music concert, or other venue.
Price: I did a LOT of homework, and found the price very acceptable in comparison to other tv’s boasting similar if not identical capabilities… I bought mine on sale at Best Buy, but lucked into a good price
Green : Not much heat coming out of the uppermost exhaust vents
My end result: A great buy.
YES, a thumbs “UP” !
After owning a SONY HD tv, and experienced their lack of customer attention/satisfaction… a lack of callback on their part force me to forever part with them as a trusted manufacturer. In my opinion, their (SONY) trusted name is forever trashed/overpriced… if they will not service what they sell… I want no part of them !
I love this tv! I’m watching baseball on the LN40B530 as I write this, and am blown away by the crisp picture and wonderful colors. The sound is fine as far as my family is concerned. I did make some adjustments to the equalizer, which improved how it sounded right out of the box. I walked past the “tv wall” at a local Best Buy, and to me this TV looked as good as the ones in the $2,000-and-up range. As far as its being “only” 60hz, it looked better than some of the 120hz ones. Maybe if you’re a heavy gamer that’s an important consideration, but nobody here is. Our previous TV was a Hitachi plasma EDTV that we thought was great, but this is a big improvement. Can’t wait to see a blue-ray disc on it. I wonder if the previous reviewer had a defective one. None of their complaints are true of this unit at all.
Great LCD!! I this is my 2nd LCD and the picture quality is amazing! With 60,000:1 contrast ratio, the colors just POP and make everything look realistic. Standard definition picture quality is good(i.e. standard cable), but HD quality is amazing. My last set was a philips and the colors on people’s faces didn’t quite look realistic but this samsung, everything looks realistic. The picture settings out of the box are pretty good but with a little adjustment(you can find calibration settings online) the PQ is amazing. The only compliant I have with this TV is the sound which is more than acceptable though.
From the Manufacturer Manufacturer’s Review (April 23, 2009) It won’t take long for you to notice how beautiful the LN40B530 is. With a sleek, black bezel and new transparent bottom edge, it’s the perfect addition to your entertainment space. 1080p resolution produces the highest quality picture on the market and blacks and shadows are strikingly superb, thanks to the 60,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Best of all, this HDTV is Energy Star compliant, which means you’ll save on your electric bill.

The lower the milliseconds, the faster the response time. A very fast 6ms response time virtually eliminates any blurring and gives you smooth-motion action scenes.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?
 |
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience. If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.
- Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
- Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

Customer Reviews:
AWESOME projector!!! I’M VERY PLEASED!! This technically is my third projector so I am experienced in projectors. My InFocus Screenplay 4805 had reached 3000 hours and the lamp burned out. I was ready to upgrade. At first I bought the Sanyo PLV-1080HD as an open box buy. When I got it home, to my dismay there was over 700 hours on it! BUMMER!! Since I had 30 days to return it, the salesman told me new projectors were on the way and to hold tight. (I would never buy a demo projector again!)
Well two weeks later I saw the Epson in the store. Since I had the Sanyo for 2 weeks, I had something to compare it to. The blacks are twice as good. It is super bright. The colors POP like an LCD TV. Basically it turned my white screen at home into the world largest flat panel. They had a gray screen at the store and the whites were still plenty bright. The screen at the store had glass particles that showed up and were distracting during the movie, so I won’t be purchasing a glass particled screen.
Both projectors were much better at my home. The demo room has too much light near the screen. At home, I was a little alarmed by the Epson 8100’s oversaturated color right out of the box. The Sanyo was pretty good right out of the box, but the Epson demands adjustment. On HDTV (Cox) most of the people were overly reddish. One of the preset modes for HDTV removed too much color.
I found a review of the projector that included calibration configurations and that made a WORLD of difference. That’s when it started to shine even on ECO mode! (I think it could beat Sanyo PLV-1080HD’s brightest mode on ECO mode!) I am so excited to have purchased this brand new. I find it a definite upgrade to be able to go 4000 hours on a bulb and only pay $300 for a replacement versus Sanyo’s approximate 2000 hours and $400 for a replacement.
Blu-rays were awesome on the Epson 8100. Razor sharp. Even up close to the screen, you can hardly see the porch screen. The contrasts and shadow details were notable.
There are plenty of parameters to adjust this projector. With the warranty, lamp life, and awesome picture. I will definitely be pleased for a long time.
Some reviews went back and forth about organic versus inorganic panels and guess about what kind of panels this projector is made of. The two year warranty give me peace of mind that if the panels go bad, I will get it fixed.
I have used a projector since 2005 and I have used it for TV, movies and some computer use. I do cut it off if I’m not watching but I have fallen asleep a few times. It’s on most of Saturday and Sunday. Still in 4 years, I only used the In Focus for 3000 hours.
I had considered having a LCD TV in addition so I could save the bulb, but I can buy a lot of bulbs for that cost and even a 52″ TV seems tiny after being accustomed to a 92″ screen. I was watching Larry King and the wall behind him was true black. The color was awesome. CNN shines! Sports look GREAT. (Sports were dim on the Sanyo PLV-1080HD.)
My projector is at least 20 feet away and giving off plenty of light even with my lights on. According to one of the reviews, the light is considerably cut when you have it too far away. I have it at the longest distance where you can have it 100″ and using ECO lamp with the light off and it’s plenty bright.
I have it on a shelf in the back of the room so I can still enjoy my ceiling fan in the summer. The exhaust vent on the front is a life saver on this unit. The Sanyo was blowing hot air and some bright light out the side of their projector. The Sanyo did have a door to hide the lens but Epson has a lens cover. Since I can easily reach the lens, I’ll just put the cover on, when I’m finished. I may even purchase a full projector cover for when it’s not in use to cut down on dust.
There were overwhelming positive reviews for the Sanyo, but this Epson will blow it away. Even the exterior design in a little more sexy in pearl white and a little bit more stream lined and less boxy.
Finally, don’t pay full price as it’s a buyer’s market. I got an awesome price at a major retailer and for 0% financing, so get yours today! Get this projector!
Phenom projector I could actually get my wife excited about! Short of it–AWESOME! I’m projecting a 150″ screen from about 16′. BluRays are unbelievable–theater quality. Very quiet. Very easy to install and adjust (first one I’ve done and it took 5 minutes to set up out of the box, and then another 1-2 hours spent mounting it) It is very bright–room does not need to be black for excellent image. What else can you say? It does what it says. Beware other cheapy projectors w/o lens shift, though–lens shift on this makes the installation so easy and gives a lot of latitude as far as height and distance from screen/wall.
Fantastic Projector! I have immense praise for the Epson 8100 home cinema. My last projector was a 1300 lumen 480p Mitsubishi (HC100) and this projector is just so much higher quality it’s stunning. It’s quieter, brighter, immensely more clear, and boots to display much faster. I have not had any large issues with it yet. If given the choice I would absolutely buy this one again. I do have a good basis of comparison too, my friends all have projectors in their homes as well and the Epson easily competes with my buddies $5000 projector that he purchased around 9 months before this one.
Two things I would like them to change… 1. When displaying via the HDMI input, I would like to be able to re-size the image. Even if the signal is sent at 1920×1080, there are times I want to zoom in or stretch the image (Fullscreen DVD played on a windows desktop at 1080p) 2. When looking at BIOS Setup on the Media PC I have connected, the BIOS menu is all jammed up on the left side and does not format correctly. This is due to the projectors improper support of “Text Mode”. It’s usable, but looks bad.
5 stars, worth every penny I paid for it. LOVE IT!

Quality and Color That’s Beyond Amazing
3LCD technology delivers amazing color and detail. Whether it’s a blockbuster movie or live sporting event, 3LCD technology takes video performance to the next level. Delivering legendary image quality, this innovative technology always ensures a stunning cinematic experience. Color — 3LCD technology goes far beyond ordinary color. “Clear,” “rich” and “vibrant” barely begin to describe the incredible depth and brilliance it delivers. The impact is stunning. It’s an astonishing level of realism you never thought possible. Reliability — 3LCD technology is durable and dependable. Road-tested by millions of projector users around the world, it has been used in more projection products than any other. Detail — 3LCD technology offers extraordinary detail. And detail is what exceptional image quality is all about — from movies to videogames, 3LCD light engines deliver incredible, jaw-dropping detail — the kind that puts you right in the middle of where the action is.
Amazing Color and White Light Output
Color light output is a metric reported in lumens. It measures a projector’s ability to deliver color. Developed by color scientists, color light output provides a simple and accurate way to evaluate projector color performance, which helps end users make better buying decisions. Color light output is critically important because color is a key indicator of picture quality. When color light output and white light output are equivalent, you get optimal color performance. With Epson, you can be confident you’re getting what you need because Epson measures white light output according to the ISO 21118 standard, a more rigid standard than the maximum or outdated ANSI lumens rating used by competitive products.
Energy-efficient E-TORL® Lamp
The innovative E-TORL lamp, exclusively from Epson, is a reliable performer that delivers more lumens per watt and lasts up to 4000 hours.** Switch the projector to High Brightness Mode and the E-TORL lamp still produces up to 4000 hours of light performance. The special E-TORL design minimizes both light diffraction and light leakage, providing you the ultimate in lamp longevity. So, while the E-TORL lamp maximizes your viewing time, it also minimizes your costs.
Home Entertainment Made Easy
The PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 provides astonishing placement flexibility with a 2.1x zoom ratio and vertical and horizontal lens shift (without image distortion). Additionally, there are two HDMI ports for flexible connectivity options. The PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 works with any blank wall or screen and projects DVD movies up to eight times larger than they would appear on a 40″ widescreen TV. In fact, it displays an 80″, widescreen image from just 8 feet away, or a 120″ image from just 12 feet away.

Customer Reviews:
Outstanding performer….. I have had this receiver for several weeks now. I was a little leary about purchasing this unit as it was being used in a room that does “double-duty” of being a place where I listen to high-end analog and digital music along with occasional use of a home-theatre. The primary purpose is music reproduction and I was tempted to go with tube-style amps and other gear in support of my vinyl record collection. But since there are always compromises in this area (space, money, etc) I decided to take a chance with this Onkyo. All I can say is WOW. I run 5.1 channels with bi-amplification on the front speakers (my one concession to music versus video). The sound reproduction is excellent. I have done a lot of comparison shopping and looked at a lot of different systems and I would have had to spend over $4-5K on hybrid tube amps to get sound better than this.
In terms of home theater, it is even better. It performs as advertised. Set-up was a breeze and the audessy is a pleasure to use and instantly “balanced” my room. For home theater use, it is incredible. Ground-shaking lows, booming sound when appropriate yet the most subtle sounds (such as dialogue at a low level) is outstanding. Some reviewers complain about it running hot. I have mine outside of any cabinet (top shelf of a component stand) and have run it for hours at 75-80% of max volume with no problems.
My two complaints are: The remote as the buttons are a bit hard to read in dim light (even with the back-lighting) and it only has 3 digital optical inputs. Given I use seperate CD and DVD players, along with a Laser Disc and other digital sources, I had to use the alternate digital cable connects. Not a big deal, I just expected more digital optical inputs.
In summary, if you are looking for a leading-edge video processing unit that has outastanding home-theater characterstics at a low price, then this is definitely it. Throw in the fact that it processes music far beyond the expectations one would have for solid-state receiver (especially at this price point) and you really have a great unit.
If you do decide to buy this, please note the dimensions and weight. This is a large, heavy receiver. And given the heat concerns of other posters, I would make sure it has plenty of “breathing room”.
Very pleased with this unit Shipped from OneCall, packaged nicely. Built very solidly, as all Onkyo AVR’s have been that I’ve purchased. Overall, very happy with the quality. Be aware that in order to use the Powered Zone 2, you must have analog input for the device(s) you wish to listen to. (For example, I want to listen to my AppleTV which has my iTunes library on it outside by the pool. Even though I connected it to the Onkyo 876 via HDMI for the best quality picture and sound in the main living room, I still had to connect the two with standard RCA audio cables as well in order to listen in Zone 2. Not a big deal, but not necessarily intuitive given the huge capabilities of this unit. Don’t let it discourage you.)
Great sound while it lasted. Center channel failed after 46 days I bought this unit (SR 876 B) having read horror stories of 806 and blue dot issues. Unit had burr and brown DACs like 805 which was the last bench mark. Unit arrived in great shape from amazon. Worked excellently for 46 days. Just past the 30day limit on almost any return policy period the center channel started making a periodic sound. It was mixed in with whatever was being played through the center channel. The sound was pink noise of duration 15-20seconds then repeating every other minute. It was loud enough not to be bearable.
Called onkyo support. They were very unhelpful. They seemed to make it an owner/user error to an amp error. Like robots – they request the customer to reset the unit. Like that will help a bug in the analong section (most likely a failed capacitor).
Unit ran very hot when used.
Onkyo support requested me to call amazon and arrange for a return. Amazon support was very helpful – however was not able to arrange for an replacement. Waiting to see if I can complete a return.
Now the price of the unit has shot up. No choice but too look for another brand.

Customer Reviews:
Very good if you need ledger printing. Not so good if you don’t. After owning and reviewing both the excellent Canon Pixma MX850 Office All-In-One Inkjet Printer and the almost as-good Canon PIXMA MX860 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer, Brother has to make an airtight case against Canon when they’re looking to get twice as much money out of your wallet.
Unless printing on 11 x 17″ (ledger) paper is a make-or-break need, Brother doesn’t make a very good case against the less expensive Canon offerings.
Of course, this is Brother’s flagship inkjet AIO offering, so they’ve thrown in a gimmicky touchscreen. Sure, it’s kind of cool, but it doesn’t really help accomplish much beyond jacking up the price. Is it missing from other AIO printers? Sure. Does it add any value? No.
Setting the printer up on MacOS X was quite painless, making for an unexpected treat. Setting the printer up in Windows was also simple, as expected. Wireless printing worked well all around, with very good range. And Brother’s dual-tray paper handling is something that’s sorely missing from all of Canon’s offerings.
So, why all the Canon talk? Because comparatively speaking, the Brother MFC-6890cdw takes longer to print both text and photos (single sided and duplex), the photo quality isn’t as good, the scanning speed is not as good, the document feeder acts screwy when you’re not using 8.5 x 11″ paper, and yet… it costs nearly twice as much.
A natural retort could be “But Brother is targeting small business users”, which is normally true, but that simply doesn’t wash when you take consumables in to consideration. Comparing the black ink between Canon and Brother (PGI-220BK vs. LC61BKS), you get rated yields of 350 pages vs. 450 pages. But when you dig a little deeper and compare the cost per page based on the cartridge cost, you end up with 4.6 cents per page on the Canon side and 5.5 cents per page on the Brother side (based on the retail price of both cartridges at a national office supply store). So while it’s true that you’re going through more cartridges on the Canon side, you’re also paying less for them upfront and per page.
So at the end of the day, why would you buy this printer? To be honest, I don’t really know. If you’re heavy in to ledger sized documents, and need the occasional presentation printed, you don’t have many alternatives. But if you don’t need to print larger than 8.5 x 11″ on a daily basis, get yourself the Canon Pixma MX860, enjoy the better quality and the hundreds of dollars you’ll save.
Great features, great function, one caveat… This is a large printer with lots of features that work well. I set this up on the wireless function to operate with my Mac. It only took one setup and I’ve experienced no problems with the range, which I did experience on my HP initially. Sending documents to print is a fast and easy task. It has an easy to use and good looking large touchscreen to take you through each menu. This is great and time saving when compared with other printers. Having the ability to print ledger photos without going to a printer store is fantastic and I used it to make several posters for our portfolio.
Now to the caveat, big or small depending on your needs. The print quality is not nearly as good as the HP. It’s comparable to other brands, very similar to what Lexmark puts out, but could not compare in color quality to my HP. Yesterday, I needed to print out a color chart for our business products and I did a couple on the normal settings on my HP. Then my ink got low so I switched over to the Brother to make a couple on there. I decided to put it on the best quality settings because I wanted the colors to be very vibrant. It takes a good bit of time to print on the high quality setting so I was expecting a lot and was very disappointed when it was finished. The colors looked washed out or a bit faded when held side by side to what I had just printed on the HP and took 3 times as long to print. I took it without saying which was which and showed it to my husband who pointed to the HP document and said that it was so much better and that there was no comparison. As far as my color chart, the HP was very usable and the Brother not at all. To be fair, the Brother has settings for its color printer that you can manually enter. I’m just not adept enough to do that, to know which settings to set the colors on. But as far as default printing, you won’t get top quality photo printing, you will get adequate printing. So, the bottom line is if you need high quality color printing, then this might not be the right printer for you. But if you are an occasional photo printer or primarily use it for office or business documents where vibrant color quality is not required, then this is a great, easy to use multi-function printer and you should give it a try.
Good for a specialized purpose After using this printer’s predecessor (MFC-6490CW) for over a year, I can offer the following:
My requirements are very specific. I need ledger-size (11×17) scanning and printing…period. Just try to find an AIO at this price that will do that (unless you want to pay $600+?) Most of my documents are B&W, some with a small amount of color highlighting, and this printer works flawlessly for that purpose.
For color photos, make sure you use photo paper or the color is so washed out even at the custom maxed-out settings that I don’t bother printing photos on plain paper.
The automatic document feeder, ADF, is somewhat flakey and skews the paper a bit too much for my finiky demands so I just limit myself to using the glass-top surface for most scanning.
I love the scan-to-file feature that doesn’t require input from the PC and allows several file formats as the default, including PDF. If you are not picky about the document skewing of the ADF, this printer will scan a stack of originals and place the entire set into a single multi-page PDF file if you desire.
This printer uses replaceable ink “tanks” instead of ink/head cartridges and this makes it much easier to manage and refill if you choose. The printer asks if you have installed a new tank and then takes your word for it, unlike the HP I used previously that insisted on reporting an out-of-ink condition even after refilling. Since this printer’s tanks have no electronics inside, there is no serial number to read and no way for the software to know if you have inserted an old cartridge.
I noticed over the last year that the user manual is somewhat incomplete and confusing/contradictory. Some features that were described in the manual did not function and some functions referenced on their web site were not properly described in the manual.
From the Manufacturer Take your business productivity to the next level with the versatile and efficient Brother MFC-6890CDW Professional Series Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer. This latest in the line of Brother’s Professional Series all-in-ones has a host of user-friendly features, including a 4.2-inch touchscreen color LCD display, built-in duplex printing, and several connectivity options, including wireless. It also gives your business the flexibility to print, copy, scan, and fax paper sizes up to 11 x 17 inches (ledger-size) at a high-quality resolution for added impact and readability.
Print, copy, scan and fax up to 11″ x 17″ for high-impact applications. View larger. |
All-in-One Functionality: Print, Copy, Scan and Fax The Brother MFC-6890CDW multi-function printer does it all, so you have to do less. It prints documents as large as 11 x 17 inches (ledger-size), and can reach print speeds of up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 28 ppm in full color*. Printing is not only fast with the MFC-6890CDW, but it’s also incredibly accurate. You get professional print quality at resolutions as high as 6000 x 1200 dpi (vertical x horizontal resolution) for image-rich documents, presentations, signs, business reports and vivid, borderless photos.
(*Please note: PPM speed excludes time to feed the first page and will vary depending on a variety of factors.)
When you need copies, the MFC-6890CDW will deliver them at a brisk rate of up to 23 copies per minute (cpm) in black or 20 cpm in full color. Thanks to the printer’s 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), you can take on large-scale jobs without having to feed paper manually. And the high-capacity dual paper trays hold up to 350 sheets, so you spend less time restocking paper. For added convenience, you can keep ledger paper in one tray and letter or legal in the other — eliminating the need to load and unload paper for different applications.
The MFC-6890CDW scans documents with incredible accuracy at optical resolutions as high as 1200 x 2400 dpi and interpolated resolutions up to 19,200 dpi. You can output your documents to a variety of formats, including JPEG, TIFF, and PDF. For even greater efficiency, the MFC-6890CDW also allows you to scan directly to email and media cards (media cards sold separately), OCR, PC-Fax and more.
If all that weren’t enough, Brother has equipped this all-in-one machine with a high speed 33.6 Kbps fax modem for ultra-quick faxing. You no longer need to have four separate machines taking up valuable space in the office–the Brother MFC-6890CDW takes care of it all–printing, copying, scanning, and faxing.
Built-in Automatic Duplex Printing With the MFC-6890CDW’s built-in automatic duplexer, you can automatically print on both sides of 8.5 x 11-inch paper. This helps save on paper and mailing costs, reduces the space required for document storage, and offers the eco-friendly benefit of reducing paper waste.
With two trays, the MFC-6890CDW has a total capacity of 350 sheets. View larger. |
Interactive 4.2-Inch Touchscreen Color LCD Display The easy-to-use and interactive 4.2-inch touchscreen interface lets you preview faxes, edit photos, and view the help menus for quick and easy reference. Simply press the large, on-screen buttons to navigate the menu system or to view and enhance photos before printing. The touchscreen display tilts up to provide easy access to its on-screen controls, and then tilts back flush with the control panel for a sleeker look.
Flexible Connectivity Options: Wired, Wireless, USB 2.0, and More Enjoy the convenience of wireless connectivity with the MFC-6890CDW’s 802.11b/g WiFi capability that allows you to connect multiple computers to the same printer wirelessly. If you’re not ready to go wireless yet, the MFC-6890CDW’s Ethernet network interface makes it a natural fit for a wired network as well.
Other connectivity features include USB 2.0, if you want to connect directly to your computer; support for compact memory media, such as SD cards, xD cards (additional purchase required,) and more; and a PictBridge/ USB direct interface for printing directly from a PictBridge-enabled digital camera or USB flash memory drive without the need for a computer.
Easy-to-Load Economical Four-Cartridge Ink System The MFC-6890CDW uses four separate ink cartridges (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow), so you only need to replace the cartridge that is depleted. This represents a significant advantage when compared to cartridges that house multiple colors and need to be thrown away when the first color runs out.
A front-loading compartment makes it easy to access and change cartridges. The MFC-6890CDW uses either standard or high yield ink cartridges. High yield cartridges contribute to a lower cost per page and total cost of ownership.
Durable Design for Busy Offices The MFC-6890CDW is the ideal choice for busy offices that need a multi-function machine built for consistent, reliable performance. Thanks to its unique design–a maching capable of printing and scanning up to ledger-size documents, yet still measuring just 21.3 x 19.2 x 12.7 inches (HxWxD) and weighing only 34.4 pounds–it delivers maximum performance in a footprint well suited for small offices or workgroups.
The MFC-6890CDW is backed by Brother’s two-year Express Exchange Limited Warranty.
What’s in the Box MFC-6890CDW multi-function printer, four high-yield ink cartridges (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow), quick setup and user’s guides, CD-ROM with drivers and software for Windows and Mac OS.
Perfect for printing two-sided documents, spreadsheets, presentations, reports and more!

Customer Reviews:
Best Sounding WIRELESS Speakers EVER! I was skeptical at spending this type of $$$ for speakers but I was looking for something I could use in multiple venues, wireless and had good sound quality. The Outcast out-performed my expectations and is worth every dollar. I justified spending the $$$ by realizing that I would not need to purchase an amplifier and install speakers in the Patio area or garage and just saving time in the install was reason enough. Plus, this system works flawlessly with my iPOD as I can goto the previous or next song from the unit at a distance of > 350′. The sound quality has remained constantly impressive even while I use this piece in my garage which is >100′ away from the transmitter (Included). I have not tested the 350 avertised range but have not needed to go this far. Also, the battery life is excellent. I have not tested the 10 hour advertised rate, but have used the Outcast at a loud level poolside for ~7 hours without any fade to volume or sound quality. This product is the best on the market and should be at $700 but more importantly, these guys got it right when it comes to wireless quality.
Outcast speakers are EXCELLENT !! These things are even better than I could imagine. I am somewhat a music quality snob so I was worried about the sound quality of wireless speakers. Well the folks at Soundcast have this new patented wireless technology that definiely works! I originally saw them when Googling and found a good review at AudioHolics.com – the review is here: http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/speakers/architectural/soundcast-outcast-wireless-speaker
My experience has been GREAT! Easy to set up. Easy to use. The base truly thumps and they do not distort even at the highest volume level.
I have been using them around our pool. I bought two units because I wanted it to be really clear and really loud. Most applications will require only one of these babies. I have a very large pool deck – about 65′ by 65′ and these things completely fill the space with great sound.
I mostly use my ipod and it works great with the transmitter that comes with the speaker. You can also connect the transmitter to a computer or radio with a line out (headphone jack).
The battery charge definitely lasts 8-10 hours, even at higher volume levels and recharges in just 2-3 hours. Or you can just leave them plugged in. I have moved the speaker up to 150 ft away from transmitter and heard no degradation in sound. I have not tried further.
I can walk the very back of my lot and stand about 150′ away from the speakers and can hear them clearly. WE have taken them to a lake house to use on the dock and to the beach. The really work great everywhere. And the build is very sturdy.
Trust me, these are the best wireless speakers I have ever heard. Just FYI, I have very high quality, audiophile home theatre systems in my house. These speakers compare favorably with my system that costs several thousand dollars.
Great OutDoor Speaker
This is a great speaker. I Set it outside around the pool and it works great. I hook the transmitter to the computer inside, & this gives you endless possibilities of sirius online, xm, slacker.com, then dock your IPod to the transmitter and you can control your Ipod from the Patio or Pool. I was blown away, this is the coolest toy I’ve had in awhile, even works great indoors if you want to put music or even TV sound by your favorite chair.

Pioneer Avic-X710Bt 5.8-Inch In-Dash Navigation A/V Receiver With Cd Player & Bluetooth
- Amazon Sales Rank: #3169 in Consumer Electronics
- Brand: Pioneer
- Model: AVIC-X710BT
- Dimensions: 9.65″ h x 9.65″ w x 10.63″ l, 8.90 pounds
- Display size: 5.8
Features
- AM/FM radio, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3/WMA/WAV/AAC, DivX/MPEG4 receiver with GPS navigation
- 4 x 50 Watts maximum power with front/rear and three sets of preamp outputs
- 5.8-inch widescreen TFT LCD touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution
- Includes auxiliary input, USB port, SD card slot, iPod direct control; add optional tuners for SAT/HD radio
- On-board Bluetooth for hands-free calls, on-screen dialing and more
Packed w/ features - - Great all-in-one package: Touch Screen, Hands free phone, Nav System, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, and external audio/video inputs. It even allows for a rear camera if optionally installed. - Installation: I did have this professionally installed and found only AFTER they opened up my dashboard that the Honda Civic 2000 requires a special-order double-din mounting kit. Not too expensive, but I recommend you CHECK THIS THOROUGHLY BEFORE PURCHASING… This detail is not really made clear, even if you previously had a double-din radio in your car. With the mounting kit, the unit fits and looks great. - Hands Free Phone: Took a little while to set up with my old bluetooth device, but once it found my phone, it connects automatically every time. Sound quality is good and it allows for voice activated calls. Voice activiation works pretty well, but can have trouble rocognizing some words. Sync’ing with my phone’s address book has been problematic, but newer phones probably work better than my old Palm Treo. - AM/FM Radio: Sound is fine. Provides 24 FM Presets and 8 AM Presets. Changing the station is a bit clunky and can require several menu selections just to change from an FM to an AM station ion the Nav System. - Navigation System: Some nice advanced features like 3-D Maps & “Smart” zoom which automatically changes the zoom level based on where you are in your route. The Nav System in my Toyota Hilander is more refined and user friendly, but the AVIX is made by engineers to have some nice bells & whistles.
Overall, a great unit and it functions well. I think its extended the useful life of my old car for another 3-5 years. I do wish that changing the radio station did not take so many key presses – it would have been nice to have a one-press feature to change the station from preset to preset even from AM to FM to CD.
Nice!! This was my first in-dash navigation unit and I made a pretty good choice. If you have an iPod make sure you get the iPod cable, and you’re good to go. It works great with my nano. It’s very easy to jump from playlists to artists or whatever you’re looking for. The navigation isn’t fancy but its accurate. Bluetooth works well. I had problems finding my phone (LG Dare) from the receiver, but when I searched for the Pioneer from my phone it worked the first time. Now it automatically pairs to my phone. As far as load time when I first start the vehicle, you get music in about 10 seconds and everything else is loaded in about 45 seconds. Overall good unit!
Excellent after-market system I have a factory installed nav in my SUV and a portable Garmin. When the radio in my 11 year old Lexus began to fade, I decided to splurge and install this system as a replacement. I have plenty of experience with my other two systems. This system is as good a navigation system as any I have seen. The unit paired with my Blackberry Bold easily and hands-free calling is a breeze. Import of contacts from my blackberry was also a breeze. Both me and the caller can hear well with minimal disturbance. Playing music of the SD card is a breeze. The menu options playing music are intuitive. iPOD works well too. The rear view camera function is new for my car and I love it. The nav antenna was placed on the dashboard in the driver side corner right by the windshield. It seems to pick up satellite info with no difficulty. I had the system installed a Best Buy – it took them about 5 hours – for my car, the tech felt it was not a DIY project. Voice commands work OK at best – I can get it to call home and switch AV input to SD or FM. But I cannot get it to go to a particular album.

Many similar tables mount the projector above the table, pointing down, but this means that every time you reach across to touch the surface your arm occludes some of the image. Instead, we wanted to project the image onto the bottom of the glass, which meant mounting the projector under the table. Which meant super short throw distance.
The Optoma EX525ST works like a dream. It is amazingly crisp at distances of less than two feet. The fan is so quiet that I honestly cannot tell whether it’s on or off. The resolution is fantastic and the image is bright in a fully day-lit room. It’s just a downright sexy projector. This is my first experience with Optoma and I am totally impressed.
High Quality – Works in tight spaces This Optoma projector is the best I have ever seen. The image quality is very bright with high resolution. I needed a projection system to display hi-res photographs. Professional photographers should know that the ability to use DVI input to play slideshows directly from the camera is a great feature. I paid less than $10 for an HDMI to DVI Adapter to expand usage capabilities.
I shoot with the Nikon D700 camera, then immediately present images within minutes of the shot. Think about weddings or other special events, where a room full of prospective buyers are able to see results immediately. The projector has a standard 1/4″ threaded mounting hole for a standard camera tripod. I don’t need to use a tabletop at all, and the projector can be placed very close to the screen.
The most important benefit of this particular Optoma model is the short throw distance from the projector onto the screen. I can display a 70″ wide screen from a tabletop or tripod from less than 5 feet away screen. The wide angle glass lens is what you are really buying. If you have not considered this factor, you may want to rethink how valuable that can be. Most projectors must be placed over ten feet away to get the same screen size, and often that means a tiny screen when room size is small. Residental use is often limited to very tight spaces.
Also, the fan is very quiet, and I find very little heat buildup. Quiet and cool operations are a plus. The internal speaker is better than the laptops internal speaker, another plus – powerpoint presentations, or slide shows with audio.
The only downside is the projector size. But you can’t get this kind of playback and features without any compromise.
I purchased this item in March 2009.
